Laursen targets top four

Aston Villa defender Martin Laursen believes they can still manage Champions League qualification this season.

Villa has not won a game in the Premier League since 7th February and have allowed Arsenal to overtake them in the race for the important fourth spot, that will secure Champions League qualification.

“Of course it doesn’t look great, but we still have a chance,” the Danish defender told Onside.

“There are still eight games left, and Arsenal have some difficult games to come, so we are still believing.”

“That was, of course, too many goals to let in, but Liverpool are strong right now and there wasn’t really much we could do about it,” he added on their 5-0 humbling at Liverpool.
