Things are getting interesting in Italy and Milan as well. After AC Milan’s turbulent start of the season, their neighbours have had some great time in Serie A and they now want to get the most out of it. Antonio Conte is allegedly after several new players in his bid to strengthen the squad for a title push, but a big thing for him could be a player that is already at the club.
That is Lautaro Martinez, who could be signing a new contract with Inter very soon. Beto Yaque, the player’s agent, is set to meet with club officials in Milan this week to discuss the possibility of a new contract for his client. Martinez’s current deal runs through June 2023, meaning that Inter are in no rush to extend his current deal.
However, media in Italy, like Tuttosport, are reporting that chief executive Giuseppe Marotta would like to see the Argentine’s release clause removed, as it is currently set at €111m.
