Lautaro Martinez to snub new Inter deal?

Inter Milan have reportedly begun accepting that they won’t be able to keep hold of Lautaro Martinez when the transfer window opens.

According to Sport, the Nerazzurri have tabled an offer of a new contract to the Argentine striker, one that would see his annual salary doubled to €4 million, which is still significantly less than the amount he would be earning if he were to sign for the Spanish champions, as well as if he would move to the Premier League and join either Manchester City or Chelsea.

An agreement between the 22-year-old and Inter is unlikely to be found, with the report claiming Martinez is adamant about joining Barcelona to play alongside Lionel Messi. It also says that the Catalan club are confident about being able to take advantage of the situation and bring him to Camp Nou, unless Inter seriously improve their offer.

Barcelona are still trying to secure a long-term successor to Luis Suarez.
