French Radio Monte Carlo claims Napoli forward Ezequiel Lavezzi is on the verge of joining Paris Saint-Germain.
The highly rated Argentine appears to have set his sights on summer exit from San Paolo after Napoli failed to achieve Champions League qualification.
The 27-year-old was hoping to join Inter, but his interest cooled off when it became clear the Neroazzurri will not be playing Champions League football next season.
According to Radio Monte Carlo, Paris Saint-Germain have taken advantage of the situation and moved in front of the queue to sign Lavezzi.
The Saints are aware Napoli will have no saying in the transfer if they meet his €31 million release clause, which is why the French giants have already opened talks with the player’s representatives.
The French radio claims the final agreement could be reached even before the end of the week, with the player who scored 9 goals in 30 Serie A games this term set for a move to Parc des Princes.
