Napoli’s Ezequiel Lavezzi is staying put at the Serie A club, according to his agent.
Player manager Alejandro Mazzoni said rumours Lavezzi is Milan- and Manchester City-bound are false.
“There is nothing true about Lavezzi to Milan. I spoke with (Milan director Ariedo) Braida and he never mentioned Lavezzi,” Mazzoni told Radio Crc.
“As for City, they have never called me for Lavezzi. He wants to stay at Napoli and I do not think it is right to speak about a transfer now.”
The 26-year-old Argentine striker is the latest in a long list of names to be linked with the Serie A champions who are looking for someone to fill in for Antonio Cassano who is recovering from heart surgery.
However, Mazzoni has been quick to play down claims of a January exit from San Paolo for Lavezzi.
Napoli will meet Lazio in Serie A after the international break, before taking on City in the Champions League on November 22.
