Ezequiel Lavezzi said he is confident he will still be a Napoli player next season, after rubbishing claims he was set to join Juventus.
Reports had surfaced on Monday that the 26-year-old had been lined up as a potential off-season target for the Turin giants, while it was also understood Manchester City had previously expressed an interest in his services.
However, the Argentine forward has distanced himself from such rumours.
“My future? I believe that I will be at Napoli next season,” Lavezzi told Sky Sport Italia.
“I’m happy here, I have a long contract and I am calm.”
“I have never had contact with Juventus and, from what I know, there have not been any offers from other clubs.”
Lavezzi joined Napoli prior to the 2007-08 campaign from San Lorenzo following their promotion from Serie B, and has since become one of the club’s most important players.
