Lavezzi set for Napoli return

Serie A outfit are considering a January move for Paris Saint-Germain forward Ezequiel Lavezzi, Tuttosport has suggested.

It is no secret the Azzurri need a replacement for Lorenzo Insigne and they seem ready to launch an assault on their former star.

Ezequiel Lavezzi is widely tipped to leave Parc des Princes in January, with the forward having just over a year and a half on his €7.5m per season contract.

With the Argentine unlikely to be offered a contract extension, the Saints appear ready to listen to offers this winter.

Lavezzi is reportedly very interested in a return to Italian Serie A, with Inter Milan also believed to be keen on his services.

The 29-year-old never quite managed to prove his worth in France, but he was in fine form as Argentina reached the 2014 World Cup final in the summer.

Napoli face high-flying Sampdoria on the road on Monday evening and the Azzurri are available at 6/5 to emerge victorious.
