Paris Saint-Germain forward Ezequiel Lavezzi has dropped the biggest hint yet that he is set to return to Italian Serie A.

With his contract at Parc des Princes due to expire in just over a year, the Argentine was heavily linked with a move back to Italy.

He has now all but confirmed the reports, adding that he would be prepared to head back to Stadio San Paolo.

“I miss Italy,” Lavezzi told Sky after the Champions League clash between Paris Saint-Germain and Chelsea.

“Me paired with Higuain? Why not? If I went back the first choice would be Napoli, we’ll have to see if I want to.

“I’m at PSG now, at the end of the season we’ll see what happens.”

Prior to joining Paris Saint-Germain, Lavezzi had enjoyed five very successful years in Naples, where he managed 48 goals and 61 assists in 188 competitive outings.

Nantes striker set for MLS move

Ouest France is reporting that Nantes forward Fernando Aristeguieta is set to join Philadelphia Union.

The Venzuelan was signed on loan by Getafe with an option to buy in January, but the deal was cancelled just one month later.

Aristigueta is still hoping to leave Nantes in search of first team football and Philadelphia Union appear ready to offer him an escape route from Stade de la Beaujoire.

The MLS side aim to recruit the 22-year-old on a six month loan in an attempt to improve their attacking options.

Aristeguieta joined Nantes from Caracas in January 2013 and he scored 7 goals in 17 appearances to help the Canaries return to the elite division.

The youngster has since, however, scored mere 2 goals in 28 Ligue 1 matches and was rarely used this season.

Premiership giants watching Cagliari starlet

A number of England’s top sides are keeping close tabs on Cagliari youngster Godfred Donsah, Sky Sport Italia has suggested.

The likes of Arsenal, Tottenham and Liverpool are all believed to be keen, although they have yet to make their interest concrete.

Donsah only joined Cagliari in the summer and after making a number of substitute appearances, he managed to nail down a regular starting berth under Gianfranco Zola.

The 18-year-old has scored 2 goals in 14 league appearances and is already being linked with a big club move.

Donsah began his professional career at Palermo, but he never made a single senior appearance for the Rosanero.

His loan stint with Hellas Verona was only slightly more successful, but the youngster is now proving his worth in Italy’s top flight.
