Lavezzi wants PSG stay

Argentine forward Ezequiel Lavezzi has decided to remain at Parc des Princes, L’Equipe has suggested.

The highly rated footballer had been somewhat unhappy with his status at the club and wanted to return to Italian Serie A, but he seems to have changed his mind.

According to L’Equipe, Lavezzi is prepared to stay with the Saints, that is unless they sign a high-profile forward this summer.

The 29-year-old has a contract until June 2016 at Parc des Princes and he reportedly wants to extend it for another year.

Ezequiel Lavezzi joined the Saints in a mega money move from Napoli two years ago, but he hasn’t quite managed to prove his worth in France.

The Argentina international was unable to establish himself as an undisputed member of the starting line-up and only managed to score a total of 12 goals in no less than 60 Ligue 1 appearances for the club.
