Ezequiel Lavezzi has suffered a sudden drop in form at the turn of the new year, much like the fortunes of Napoli. The striker’s agent, Alejandro Mazzoni, says that his client will stick with the Partenopei, for better or worse.
“Lavezzi wants to remain at Napoli,” said Mazzoni in an interview. “He is doing well here, with the team, the crowd, the city, and he will remain regardless of whether Napoli make it into the Uefa Cup. He feels a part of this project and when one accepts to take part in a project one should stick with it through good and bad times.”
“Lavezzi has been playing nonstop since last year: league matches, Olympics, Intertoto and then the league again. Now he is going through a less impressive period and this is normal.”
