Lazio chairman Claudio Lotito has made it clear that he is not interested in selling key midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic in the foreseeable future.
The Serbian footballer has become one of Europe’s hottest commodities, with quite a few top European clubs hot on his trail.
And even though offers in the region of €100 million are being bandied about, Lazio do not seem fazed.
“How much is he worth?” Lotito told Il Corriere dello Sport.
“I don’t care, he’s not for sale! He’s like me, he has the same character, spirit of sacrifice, and he has courage.
“When his father ‘convinced’ him to go to Fiorentina, he – who already had an agreement with us – arrived there and explained ‘I only want Lazio’. That says it all, for me.”
Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, 22, has been one of club’s star performers this season, having managed 7 goals and 5 assists in 25 competitive outings.
