Serie A giants Lazio have reached an agreement to sign Spanish midfielder Luis Alberto from Liverpool, L’Equipe has suggested.
The total cost of the transfer is €7 million, while the Reds will also be entitled to 30% of the next transfer fee.
The 23-year-old had failed to impress Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp in spite of some scintillating performances during the loan spell with Deportivo La Coruna, where he scored 6 goals in 29 La Liga fixtures.
Alberto arrives at Lazio to increase competition for places in the final third after Antonio Candreva was sold to Inter Milan and Balde Diao Keita has clashed with the club officials.
The attacking midfielder was in excellent form last season, having managed 6 goals and 7 assists in La Liga, and he will be hoping to continue the rich vein of form in Italian Serie A, even though that will be no easy task.
