(GSM) – Lazio president Claudio Lotito claims the club are closing in on Manchester City’s Javier Garrido.
Lazio are after City’s Spanish left-back after Aleksandar Kolarov moved the other way.
Garrido has slipped down the pecking order at City with Wayne Bridge and Kolarov the preferred choices for manager Roberto Mancini.
And Lotito has now confirmed that negotiations for the unsettled defender are nearing a positive conclusion.
He told reporters: “We are a step closer to the definitive agreement for Garrido.”
Garrido joined City in a £1.5million deal from Real Sociedad in the summer of 2007.
