Italian giants Lazio are set to complete the signing of Brazilian defender Adriano Correia from Barcelona, according to El Mundo Deportivo.
The Biancocelesti are set to appoint Cesare Prandelli as their new head coach and as soon as the deal is made official, they will turn their attention towards the Catalans defender.
Lazio are ready to offer Adriano a four-year deal worth €2 million per campaign, and they are currently in talks with the defender’s representatives.
Adriano has another year left on his contract at Camp Nou, but everything suggests he will be allowed to leave on a free transfer.
The 31-year-old was never able to establish himself as a first team regular, but he amassed a total of 114 La Liga appearances for Barcelona.
He has long been linked with a move to AS Roma, but it appears he will instead be joining their local rivals Lazio.
