Italian giants Lazio are hot on the trail of Lille defender Marko Basa, according to Il Corriere dello Sport.
The Biancocelesti are on the lookout for defensive reinforcements and could sign two central defenders in the January window.
Lazio have been linked with quite a few quality footballers over the past few weeks, but it appears they are now on the verge of luring Marko Basa to Stadio Olimpico.
The Lille stopper is far from happy with the lack of playing time this season and reportedly wants to leave the club at the earliest opportunity despite the fact that he has a deal until June 2019 with les Dogues.
This is a perfect scenario for the Biancocelesti, who need a player with plenty of experience that could challenge for a starting berth straight away.
Lazio currently sit 12 points behind Champions League positions and it is hardly surprising they are 66/1 shot for a top 3 finish.
