Lazio closing in on City striker

Lazio sporting director Igli Tare has made a trip to Manchester in order to close the deal for City striker Roque Santa Cruz.

The Biancocelesti have also been linked with Hugo Almeida, but according to reports from Italy, coach Edy Reja is eager to sign the Paraguayan striker, who’s seen very limited playing time since arriving at Eastlands.

Lazio will only be allowed to take the striker on a one-year loan, which is set to cost them around 2 million euros.

Meanwhile, the club president Claudio Lotito has entered the talks with Cristian Ledesma regarding the new contract and it seems the Biancocelesti could have a nice thing going on this season.
