Lazio closing in on Hernanes

Sao Paolo midfielder Hernanes is on the verge of joining Lazio in a €14 million deal.

Lazio director Igli Tare spent a last couple of days trying to close the deal and it seems he has succeeded.

Manager Federico Penha, Vice-President of Traffic, a company that owns 17 percent of Hernanes’ contract, said:

“The meeting between President Juvenal and director Tare went well. Sao Paolo have accepted the offer put forth by Lazio and we at Traffic have also given our all-clear to the transfer.

“Talks have started and once the salary has been agreed, Hernanes can be considered a Lazio player to all effects. I repeat, there is a minimum distance between demand and offer, so we can say Hernanes is 99 per cent a Lazio player.”
