APOEL Nicosia defender Carlao is being linked with a January switch to Lazio, Il Corriere dello Sport has suggested.
The Biancocelesti recently revealed their plans to sign a new central defender in the upcoming transfer window, but they have yet to make concrete moves.
According to Il Corriere dello Sport, APOEL Nicosia stopper Carlao is the latest footballer to have appeared on their radar.
The Brazilian only joined the Cypriot side in the summer, on a free transfer from Sochaux, but no doubt he will be interested in a Serie A move.
Carlao began his career with Corinthians, but it was at Sochaux that he made a name for himself, representing les Lionceaux in 129 Ligue 1 matches.
The 28-year-old has been virtually ever present for APOEL Nicosia this season, starting 8 league games as well as another 10 Champions League fixtures. Carlao has a contract until June 2016 with the Cypriot side.
