Serie A giants Lazio are keeping close tabs on Werder Bremen midfielder Aaron Hunt, the player’s representative has revealed.
The German midfielder will soon become a free agent having informed the club officials he will not be signing a contract extension.
And while he seems to have rejected an offer from Besiktas, the player appears tempted by the reported interest from Lazio.
“Serie A is tempting and Lazio can be an attractive option,” Hunt’s agent Gordon Stipic was quoted as saying in Il Corriere dello Sport.
With Nantes striker Filip Djordjevic set to arrive on a free transfer, the Biancocelesti hope to recruit another quality player free of charge.
Aaron Hunt boasts a wealth of top flight experience, having made a total of 215 Bundesliga appearances and scored 46 goals.
The 27-year-old has so far earned three Germany caps, but having last played for the national team back in May 2013, nobody was surprised to see that he was not included in Joachim Low’s provisional World Cup squad.
