Lazio are weighing up bid for Red Bull Salzburg defender Martin Hinteregger, Il Corriere dello Sport has revealed.
The Biancocelesti are searching for reinforcements following another poor start to the season, and it appears signing a striker and centre-back is the priority.
And while Lazio seem ready to bid for Fabio Quagliarella, Red Bull Salzburg stopper Martin Hinteregger appear to be on top of their hit-list when defenders are concerned.
The problem is the 21-year-old has a contract until June 2018 in Austria, while he is also on the radar of several Premier League sides.
Despite his fragile age, Hinteregger has already made 81 league appearances for Salzburg, scoring 3 goals in the process.
Seeing as how they have slipped to eighth in the standings following a three-match winless run, Lazio face a very important match against Sampdoria at Stadio Luigi Ferraris, where Vladimir Petkovic’s side are 11/8 to claim maximum points.
