Serbia U20 World Cup star Sergej Milinkovic-Savic is being mentioned as a possible reinforcement for Lazio, according to Il Corriere dello Sport.
The Bianconeri officials have been impressed with the youngster’s performances at the tournament in New Zealand, where he was voted the third best player after helping his side lift the coveted title.
Lazio wasted no time in making their interest concrete and they are believed to have submitted a €7 million offer for the 20-year-old footballer.
However, it is thought that his employers Genk are not prepared to sell at that price, with Milinkovic-Savic only signing a five-year deal last summer.
Arsenal and Manchester United are both keen on the central midfielder, whose younger brother Vanja had been earlier snatched by the Red Devils.
Savic enjoyed a very good debut season in Belgian Jupiler Pro League, making 24 appearances for Genk and scoring 5 goals in the process.
