Serie A hot-shots Lazio are beginning to plan for life without Serbian starlet Sergej Milinkovic-Savic.
The explosive midfielder has enjoyed a rapid rise to prominence over the past 12 months with Biancocelesti with his regal performances alarming the host of Europe’s top clubs and Lazio are well aware of a challenge to keep the in-form enforcer beyond the current season.
Sergej Milinkovic-Savic made 25 Serie A appearances this season for Lazio. He scored nine goals and put in a number of stunning displays which ramped up his price significantly with Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain reportedly willing to break the bank to land him next summer.
Lazio will have to act quickly to replace the Serbian and reports from El Mundo Deportivo claim that Biancocelesti are looking towards Real Betis and their midfielder Fabian Ruiz as a potential replacement.
The 21-year-old has recently extended his contract with La Liga side until 2023 which saw his release clause double from €15 million to €30 million.
