Lazio chairman Claudio Lotito has moved to suggest that the club could sign a new striker in light of Filip Djordjevic’s injury.
The Serbian striker fractured his ankle in the 3-1 win over AC Milan and is now set to miss around three months of action.
As a result, the Biancocelesti have Miroslav Klose and Balde Keita as the only fit strikers, so no wonder they are looking to recruit another centre forward.
Lazio president Claudio Lotito has revealed club’s transfer plans, while suggesting that Bryan Perea could be recalled from a loan spell at Perugia.
“Unfortunately we’ve lost Djordjevic and I fear it will be a long recovery process,” Lotito told Mediaset Premium.
“We’ll see if we need reinforcements in attack, as we do have several players currently out on loan and could recall them. I’ll talk to the coach and discuss what the options are.
“I’d like to remind everyone that we still have Perea and would like to bring him back from Perugia.”
Filip Djordjevic arrived at Lazio on a free transfer from Nantes last summer and he enjoyed a very good start to his career in Italy.
The Serbia international amassed a total of 20 Serie A appearances, starting 14 of those games and scoring 7 goals in the process.
