Lazio join chase for Joel Campbell

Il Corriere dello Sport is reporting that Lazio are weighing up a late move for Arsenal forward Joel Campbell.

The Biancocelesti are desperate to recruit another forward seeing as both Miroslav Klose and Filip Djordjevic are battling injuries at the moment.

And after seeing Joel Campbell’s move to Palermo fall through, Lazio appear ready to try and lure the Costa Rican to Stadio Olimpico.

According to Il Corriere dello Sport, the Serie A giants have enquired about the possibility of signing the forward in the summer transfer window.

Campbell does not appear to be in the first team plans of manager Arsene Wenger and he would probably jump at the opportunity to join Lazio.

The Biancocelesti may wait to see whether they will qualify for the Champions League group stages before making their interest concrete, with the team in a good position after the 1-0 first leg win over Bayer Leverkusen.
