Serie A giants Lazio are keeping close tabs on Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata, reports Il Corriere dello Sport.
With back-up striker Sergio Floccari set to complete a switch to Sassuolo, the Biancocelesti are determined to sign a new centre forward before the transfer window closes.
And while their attempt to sign Nicolas Anelka from West Bromwich seems to have been unsuccessful, Lazio look ready to return their attention to Real’s Alvaro Morata.
The talented forward recently hinted that he could leave los Blancos in search of first team football, but Carlo Ancelotti is not prepared to let him go.
Nevertheless, Lazio could decide to test Real Madrid’s resolve with an official bid for the player’s services.
The Biancocelesti have shown a great deal of improvement since Edoardo Reja took over the reigns from Vladimir Petkovic, and they look a good bet to beat Chievo away at odds of 7/5.
