Serie A giants Lazio are showing interest in Inter Milan defender Marco Andreolli, Il Corriere dello Sport reports.
The Biancocelesti are determined to sign a quality centre-back in January as they currently have several important defenders sidelined through injury.
Lazio would prefer to recruit someone who could slot straight into the starting line-up at Stadio Olimpico and they appear to have made Marco Andreolli their primary target.
Coach Stefano Pioli hopes to get reunited with the player he coached at Chievo and prizing him to Rome should not prove such a difficult task.
Andreolli is not held in high regard by new Inter coach Roberto Mancini and having made mere two Serie A appearances this season, chances are he will be allowed to leave.
The 28-year-old has largely struggled since arriving from Chievo a year and a half ago and he hopes a move to Lazio will help him kick-start his career.
