Serie A giants Lazio are weighing up summer bid for Bologna playmaker Alessandro Diamanti, according to Il Corriere dello Sport.
The experienced midfielder is likely to be one of the hottest commodities in the summer transfer window, with Juventus and few other top clubs interested in his services.
However, it appears that Lazio are leading the chase for the Italy international and they are readying an official bid for Diamanti.
Bologna are holding out for €10 million, which is a bit over the top for a 30-year-old footballer, but the Biancocelesti have not been put off by the asking price.
Lazio officials are willing to negotiate a deal with Felsinei, although they will attempt to lower the asking price by including talented forward Libor Kozak in the transfer.
Alessandro Diamanti, who has scored 7 goals and set up another 8 in 34 league matches this season, is set to represent Italy at the 2013 Confederations Cup in Brazil.
