Lazio are showing interest in Juventus striker Alessandro Matri as they continue their search for a new centre-forward, Il Corriere dello Sport reports.
With Miroslav Klose nearing the end of his playing days and talented forward Libor Kozak desperate to leave in search of first team football, boss Vladimir Petkovic is eager to sign a high-profile striker this summer.
According to Il Corriere dello Sport, Juventus’ Alessandro Matri is the first name on his hit-list, but the high asking price could prove to be an obstacle to any move.
Namely, the Bianconeri want no less than €12 million for the highly rated forward, but Lazio are hoping they can sign the Italy international for less.
Meanwhile, Lazio are also looking at PSV Eindhoven forward Tim Matavz, who is reportedly available for €7 million.
Swansea forward Michu is another player on their wish list, but the Biancocelesti are aware he is not a realistic target at the moment.
