Il Corriere dello Sport has suggested that Lazio are hot on the trail of Atalanta star Alejandro “Papu” Gomez.
The Biancocelesti are set to stay without Balde Diao Keita and they see the Argentina international as a very good replacement.
The good news is that Atalanta will soon pay €5 million for Etrit Berisha, but rather than taking the money, Lazio plan to include it in the bid for Papu Gomez, offering another €7m or €8m on top.
Meanwhile, Orobici want €15 million for their prized possession, but the biggest problem is the fact that the attacking midfielder wants to play Champions League football next season.
After scoring 16 goals and setting up another 10 to help Atalanta achieve a top 4 finish, Gomez scored and assisted on his Argentina debut in the 6-0 triumph over Singapore.
