Lazio are being linked with two more high-profile footballers as they continue the search for a new centre forward, Il Corriere dello Sport understands.
The Biancocelesti found themselves in a very difficult situation as both Filip Djordjevic and Miroslav Klose suffered injuries and they have been working hard on recruiting a new striker.
The latest reports suggest that Lazio are considering a move on AC Milan’s Alessandro Matri, who is almost certain to leave if Mario Balotelli returns.
The 31-year-old is already used to having a back-up role at Italy’s top sides and he probably wouldn’t mind moving to Stadio Olimpico.
Lazio are also looking at Alberto Gilardino, but the problem is that Palermo currently lead the chase for his signature.
And if neither of the two strikers arrive at Stadio Olimpico, the Biancocelesti will turn their attention towards Emmanuel Adebayor and Marco Borriello.
At the same time, Lazio could reignite their interest in Tonny Vilhena in light of Lucas Biglia’s injury.
