Lazio are stepping up their interest in a number of high-profile players, according to Il Corriere dello Sport.
The reason why sporting director Igli Tare was not present at Friuli at the weekend is that he is working on reinforcements for the 2013/2014 season.
Santos midfielder Felipe Anderson has already agreed to join the Biancocelesti, with the final details of the transfer set to be sorted in the following weeks.
Tare has also attended the match between Anderlecht and Club Brugge last weekend, making a check on a number of players.
Lazio are believed to be following Club Brugge forward Carlos Bacca, as well as Anderlecht stars Cheikhou Kouyate and Matias Suarez.
Lazio chiefs are keen to improve the strength in depth after the thin squad struggled to cope with the hectic schedule this season.
However, the Biancocelesti could easily miss out on European qualification, having slipped to seventh in Serie A following the 1-0 defeat to Udinese.
