Lazio readying bid for Matteo Politano

Serie A outfit Lazio are hot on the trail of Sassuolo hotshot Matteo Politano, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Biancocelesti expect to cash in on Felipe Anderson, who could join West Ham in a €40 million deal and they plan to spend a portion of the money on the Neroverdi star.

After impressing at Sassuolo, Politano was close to joining Napoli in January, but he eventually remained with his current employers.

The Neroverdi reportedly want €27 million for his services, while Lazio also hope to sign his teammate Francesco Acerbi.

Matteo Politano, 24, was in fine form last season, scoring 10 goals and setting up another 4 in 36 Serie A outings.
