Lazio reignite interest in Guidetti

Lazio are weighing up move for Manchester City forward John Guidetti, Il Corriere dello Sport understands.

The Biancocelesti are desperately looking for a new striker and they were on the verge of signing Burak Yilmaz from Trabzonspor.

However, after the Turkish international opted to join Lokomotiv Moscow instead, the Italian giants have turned their attention to Manchester City striker John Guidetti.

The Biancocelesti may not have the funds to but the player outright, which is why they plan to sign the player on loan with an option to buy his contract at the end of the season.

The player’s agent earlier hinted that his client would be interested in a move to Olimpico and the transfer could be wrapped up by the end of the week.

The Swedish striker, who missed the European Championship through injury, has scored 20 goals in 23 Eredivisie appearances while on loan at Feyenoord last season.
