Serie A strugglers Lazio have reignited their interest in Sevilla striker Ciro Immobile, according to Il Corriere dello Sport.
The Biancocelesti decided to turn their attention back to the Italy international after their talks for West Ham striker Enner Valencia fell through, and the good news is the player’s future is still in doubt.
Immobile has returned to Sevilla following a loan stint with Torino, but he looks unlikely to remain at Estadio Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan for much longer.
Lazio, on the other hand, are prepared to make the 26-year-old their number one striker having stayed without Miroslav Klose this summer.
The Biancocelesti had previously spoken to Sevilla about Immobile, but then puled out of the chase as new coach Marcelo Bielsa wanted to sign Enner Valencia instead.
With a proven goalscoring record in Italy and some promising showings at the Euro 2016 finals, Immobile might prove to be just what Lazio have been missing.
