Serie A high-flyers Lazio have reignited their interest in Rennes forward Paul-Georges Ntep, Il Messaggero has suggested.
The Biancocelesti could stay without Balde Diao Keita in January, and if that happens, they will make a move on the French footballer.
Ntep has a contract until the end of the season with Rennes, but he has made it clear that he will not leave the club before signing a new deal as he doesn’t want les Bretons to miss out on a decent transfer fee.
Lazio could, nonetheless, attempt to negotiate a good deal in the January transfer window and finally get their man.
Ntep, 24, can operate as a striker or on either wing and he has so far scored 16 goals in 64 Ligue 1 outings for Rennes.
Lyon are also believed to be hot on his trail and they are expected to challenge Lazio for the forward’s signature.
