Il Corriere dello Sport is reporting that Lazio are set to announce the signing of Serbian striker Filip Djordjevic from Nantes.
The Biancocelesti have won the battle with Inter Milan for the player’s signature and they have all but reached an agreement with the forward’s representative.
With only minor details to be sorted, Lazio are expected to officially announce the deal in some eight days, ahead of the league clash against AC Milan.
Given that his contract at Nantes is due to expire at the end of the campaign, the Serbia international joins on a free transfer.
Filip Djordjevic joined the Canaries from Red Star in the summer of 2008, having previously spent six months on loan at the club.
He has been especially impressive over the last two seasons, first scoring 20 league goals to help Nantes return to the elite division before netting 10 times in 25 league fixtures this term.
