Lazio are planning an audacious move for Wolfsburg midfielder Diego, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.
The Serie A high-flyers are keeping tabs on the former Juventus playmaker and they will make an official bid if they manage to qualify for the Champions League.
The Biancocelesti are ready to offer between €12 and €13 million for the Brazilian, who is reportedly unsettled at Wolfsburg.
Diego was sold to Wolfsburg after spending just one season at Juventus and with Wolves currently in Bundesliga relegation zone, the Brazilian is looking for a way out.
The 26-year-old failed to justify the money invested in him, while he also clashed with club chiefs midway through the season, and Wolfsburg could decide to cash in on him, especially if they get relegated from Bundesliga.
Wolfsburg paid €15 million for the Brazil international and their asking price will probably be close to that figure.
