Lazio to offer Immobile new contract

The least surprising news of the 2020 could be that Lazio are willing to extend Ciro Immobile’s contract. The Italian striker has been in immense form this season, scoring goals for fun and not only that, but also leading his side into a proper fight for the Serie A title against Juventus. Not many expected Simone Inzaghi’s side to be in such position this season, but Immobile’s goalscoring run has helped for that to become reality.

And now Lazio want to offer him a new deal, according to Calciomercato. No wonder they want to do so, as the 30-year-old goalscorer has been linked with a move away from Stadio Olimpico this summer. Still, Lazio will strongly oppose that and offer Immobile a deal until June 2025, when he will be deep into his thirties.

Immobile scored incredible 27 goals and added seven goals in his 26 Serie A appearances this season, which gets him to 30 goals in all competitions.
