Lazio are keeping close tabs on Malaga defender Sergio Sanchez, reports Il Corriere dello Sport.
Having secured the signature of Nantes forward Filip Djordjevic, the Biancocelesti are turning towards defensive reinforcements.
Lazio look set to stay without Andre Dias and Giuseppe Biava, and they are desperate to add at least one quality centre-back to their ranks.
And while Humberto Rever and Martin Hinteregger are still on their radar, Malaga stopper Sergio Sanchez is the latest player on their hit list.
The 27-year-old centre-back, who can also operate as a full-back, has finally established himself as a first team regular at La Rosaleda, but he is likely to be tempted by the interest from Lazio.
Sanchez joined los Boquerones from Sevilla in the summer of 2011 and has since amassed a total of 64 La Liga appearances.
Malaga seriously improved their survival hopes by defeating Real Betis on the road, with Bernd Schuster’s side now 1/1 to beat Granada as well.
