According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, there’s been an alteration in the fee that Lazio will be requesting for the purchase of Sergej Milinkovic-Savic. Now, as opposed to €150 million, the Italian club will ask potential buyers for €110 million in order to lure the Serbian midfielder away from the team.
The 23-year-old is viewed as a hot commodity in European football, especially in the wake of his impressive performances at the 2018 FIFA World Cup. He’s been with Lazio for three years now after making the jump from Genk, and he seems to be moving from strength to strength as the months go on.
Several high-profile European clubs are said to have registered their interest in Milinkovic-Savic, and that’ll likely continue throughout the remainder of the summer transfer window. Lazio, on the other hand, will likely turn their attention immediately towards finding a replacement as the new Serie A season gets closer and closer.
