Lazio win chase for Filip Djordjevic

Serie A giants Lazio have all but agreed to sign Serbian striker Filip Djordjevic from Nantes, reports Canal +.

The talented forward, who has entered the final year of his deal with the Canaries, has been heavily linked with a switch to Italy, and the latest reports suggest he has agreed to join Lazio.

It only remains to be seen whether the Biancocelesti will sign the player in January or recruit him on a free transfer at the end of the season.

Filip Djordjevic had earlier suggested that he would not be leaving Nantes this winter as he wanted to end the season with his current employers.

The 26-year-old has developed into one of league’s most prolific strikers, and he has managed 8 goals in 18 league appearances this season.

Djordjevic will have an opportunity to improve that record when Nantes face Saint Etienne later today, with the Canaries 4/1 to claim maximum points.
