Internacional striker Leandro Damiao will not be allowed to move to Europe, according to club president Giovanni Luigi.
The 22-year-old has been widely tipped to leave Brazil in January, with his agent recently confirming that Juventus were tracking the talented striker.
Arsenal and Tottenham have also shown interest in the Brazilian, but it looks as though he will be staying at Internacional after all.
“We are going to keep Damiao. He would only have two motives to leave – due to sporting criteria, or if the club had financial problems and needed to sell one of its’ stars. That is not the case here,” Internacional president Giovanni Luigi told Radio Gaucha.
“I can assure you that Damiao will stay with us.”
