Paris Saint-Germain are said to have agreed a winter deal to sign Zenit Petersburg midfielder Leandro Paredes.
The Argentina international has been linked with a move to Chelsea who saw him as a perfect Cesc Fabregas replacement but it is being reported that Ligue 1 champions have already met Zenit’s asking price for the player.
PSG will fork out €47 million to secure his services with L’Equipe claiming that Paredes is expected to undergo a medical this week before penning a four-year-deal with the Paris-based club.
French heavyweights are bolstering the midfielder in light of Marco Verratti’s injury and are also expected to make a move for Napoli midfielder Allan.
It remains to be seen, however, how PSG will get around Financial Fair Play with new expenditures expected to be made this winter.
