Leeds 5/6 to beat Nottingham Forest and over 1.5 goals 5/6 for Saturday’s Championship contest

Competition: Championship

Market: Leeds win and over 1.5 goals

Odds: 5/6 @ Bet 365

Tipped by many as the leading contender to secure a Premier League return this season, Leeds will welcome Nottingham Forest to Elland Road on Saturday afternoon.

Starting with the hosts, while many around Elland Road would have been concerned that Leeds might still be suffering with a hangover from their sluggish end to last season, the Whites really caught the eye over the weekend. Putting three past play-off contenders Bristol City on Sunday, Marcelo Bielsa’s side have once again given a taster of what they’re capable of in the final third. One man to watch for Leeds this weekend will be the red-hot Pablo Hernandez. With Kemar Roofe securing a move to Anderlecht earlier in the week, the 35-year-old once again found the net at Ashton Gate last time out and now has four goals in his last four appearances for Bielsa’s side.

As for the visitors, throwing away a 1-0 lead against West Brom on Saturday evening and suffering a 2-1 loss in their opening fixture at the City Ground, Nottingham Forest are a side in the midst of a rebuilding process. With Martin O’Neil cutting his brief return short over the summer, the Reds have turned to former Rennes boss Sabri Lamouchi. Eventually finishing eight points adrift of securing a play-off spot last season, a huge part of Forest’s issues last year came down to their issues on the road. Saturday’s guests have remarkably recorded just a single away win since the 24th of November.
