As reported by Fabrizio Romano, Leeds United have reached an agreement with Juventus midfielder Weston McKennie over the personal terms of a proposed contract, and all that remains for the transfer of the USA international to the Premier League side is for the two clubs to agree on a transfer fee. The talks on the subject are ongoing.
McKennie, a product of the Dallas Academy, left his homeland in 2016 to join Schalke’s Under-19 side. He rose to the senior squad there and joined Juventus on an initial loan in 2020. The deal was made permanent a year later.
McKennie has nine goals in 41 caps for the USA.
Having made a total of 21 appearances across all competitions for the Old Lady this season, the 24-year-old was linked with the likes of Bournemouth and Aston Villa as Juventus slid into the crisis which has now culminated with a 15-point deduction in the Serie A.
