Wolverhampton Wanderers and Leeds United are interested in signing Benny Couto from Oldham Athletic in the January transfer window, according to The Telegraph. It has been reported that Premier League duo Leeds and Wolves are keeping tabs on Couto, who has broken into the first team at Oldham.
League Two club Oldham are reportedly willing to sell Couto this month, but they would like a deal which would see the 18-year-old left-back stay at the club on loan for the rest of the season. The teenager, who can also play in central defence or as a left-winger, has scored one goal and provided two assists in 13 League Two matches so far this season.
Leeds are 16th in the Premier League table at the moment with 19 points from 19 matches, while Wolves currently find themselves eighth in the standings with 28 points from 19 games.
