Leeds United are interested in signing Stoke City’s Jack Butland, according to Sky Sports.
The England goalkeeper had a brief run in the Potters first team at the start of the year due to an injury to first choice shot-stopper Asmir Begovic, but has lost his place since the Bosnian returned to fitness.
Butland is keen to keep himself in Roy Hodgson’s thoughts ahead of this summer’s World Cup finals in Brazil, and knows that his chances will increase by playing regular first team football.
Leeds’ current number one Paddy Kenny has played all thirty of club’s league games so far this season.
Brian McDermott’s side are currently twelfth in the Championship, eight points behind sixth place Reading with sixteen games left to play.
The Yorkshire side continue their push towards a play-off place against at Middlesbrough on Saturday afternoon, and are priced at 11/4 to take all three points.
