Leeds United are closing in on the appointment of Javi Gracia as their new manager, according to multiple reports. At the moment, the final details of the proposed contract between the Premier League club and the 52-year-old tactician are being discussed, and a positive conclusion to the talks appears imminent.
Leeds sacked Jesse Marsch earlier this month following a bout of poor results, which have put the team in danger of being a part of the relegation scramble towards the end of the season. At the moment, they sit second from the wrong end of the table, with just 19 points from 23 matches and only Southampton below.
Gracia already has experience of managing in England, having been in charge of the team at Watford from January 2018 to September 2019. After that, he spent a season at Valencia and six months with Qatari Stars League side Al-Sadd SC.
