Bolton defender Paul Robinson has joined Leeds United on a short-term loan deal.
The 33-year-old, who has made more than 500 career appearances, has joined the Yorkshire club on an initial loan deal until April 9.
Robinson is Neil Warnock’s second signing, after Danny Webber signed on a free last week, and the 63-year-old is delighted with the arrival of the former West Brom player.
“Paul is a player who I have had my eye on for a couple of weeks – since I came in – but for whatever reason we just couldn’t quite get it over the line,” Warnock told the club’s official website.
“Now we’ve been able to do that I’m delighted. This is a great club for him and it gives us a chance to have a look at him with a view to next season.”
Robinson, who is eligible for Tuesday’s game against Hull City, was described by Bolton manager Owen Coyle as “frustrated at not playing”.
The Englishman’s last first-team appearance came as a substitute in an FA Cup replay against Macclesfield Town in January.
Coyle added: “This move keeps him match sharp and Leeds will benefit from his considerable top-flight experience.”
