Leeds United 7/5 to beat Derby to nil in Saturday’s Championship contest

Competition: Championship

Market: Leeds win to nil

Odds: 7/5 @ Bet 365

Handed the chance to extend their buffer at the top of the Championship to three points, Leeds will welcome Derby to Elland Road on Saturday lunchtime.

Starting with the hosts, returning from the international break and picking up a 2-0 win away at Barnsley last weekend, it is no surprise that Leeds are seen to be a huge favorite to secure a Premier League return this year. Reclaiming their spot at the top of the table and the mood in Marcelo Bielsa’s camp continues to soar. Now winning four of their last five second-tier appearances and tasting defeat just once since opening the new campaign, the Whites have continued to shine defensively. Leeds have conceded just a single goal in their last five Championship outings.

As for the visitors, while Leeds might be enjoying a stellar start to the new campaign, the same cannot be said for a struggling Derby side. Still unable to adjust to life under new boss Phillip Cocu, last year’s play-off finalists are some way off securing another top-six finish this time around. Only managing to snatch a point off of fellow strugglers Cardiff at Pride Park last weekend, the former PSV boss has seen his side fail to win any of their last six outings, a run that stems back to the start of August. Showing some glaring issues in the final third, we’re backing a routine home victory on Saturday lunchtime.
